Joel, Martha and Abbie have joined forces for a remake of ‘Chic, C’est La Vie’ by Real Housewives of New York star Countess Luann de Lesseps. The song celebrates the Glamazonian culture of the reality TV franchise.
“My long-awaited musical debut is finally here! Paying homage to international icon and pop sensation Countess Luann with our Australian version. I teamed up with 3 of Australia’s most respected musical divas. I guess we’ll be taken to LA to record our first album a few minutes after this one was released, so, really, it was nice to know you all,” said Joel.
The video shows Joel, Abbie, Martha and Brandon Lee Scott looking lively as they enjoy the good life together.
The stars were seen filming the project at a cliffside mansion in Sydney’s Coogee earlier this month.
“I turned 30 today or ‘gay dead’ as my community affectionately calls it,” said Joel, referring to the milestone of coming out of my twenties.
He explained that even though he had planned a big party, he was forced to narrow it down to himself and his boyfriend, Jack Stratton-Smith.
“The bulk of a party I had spent about a year planning slowly got closer to Jack (who turned 27 yesterday) and me having lunch at home. So given the postponement, I decided to stay 29 years and try again next year.”
