The Albanian public television channel RTSH has officially announced its participation in the 2020 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, in the Netherlands next May, by kicking off the 58th Festivali I Këngës Në RTSH, which will serve again to select his representative and his contribution for the European event, and which should launch the national finals season at the end of December next during the Christmas holidays. Registrations for the Festivali I Kœngës Në RTSH 58 will take place at the headquarters of Radio Tirana until Sunday, September 15, 2019 latest deadline.
POLAND 🇵🇱
Netta will travel to Poland, which with the hit Toy won in the finals of Eurovision 2018. The singer will be one of the foreign stars of the festival “Magical Ending Holidays” in Kielce. The Israeli vocalist will perform during the concert “The Summer Hit RMF FM and Polsat”, which will take place on 25 August 2019 in the Kadzielnia Amphitheater.

While “Soldi” has already cracked more than 100 million views on YouTube — becoming only the fifth Eurovision entry to achieve that, Mahmood made a bug announcement on Instagram. He will be the supporting act for Lauryn Hill concert on August 7th. More specific he said: “The Fugees’ The Score is the first album I ever bought, but The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is the album that I’ve listen to the most in my life. On August 7th I’ll open Lauryn Hill’s concert at the Locus Festival, and I just can’t believe it.”

After Sheldon Riley NOW Diana Rouvas, Australia’s finest winner of The Voice All Star, says she is ready to compete on the Eurovision stage. In a follow-up question to Instagram whether she would like to “go” to Eurovision with either Australia or Greece, she gives her answer: “I would love to….!!! Should it be with Australia not? But I’m a piece of Greek heritage.”

This week sees the release of the CGI remake of classic Disney film The Lion King. Eurovision and Melodifestivalen stars John Lundvik and Molly Hammar have taken on the classic roles of Simba and Nala. By lending their voices and vocals to the dubbed Swedish version and the soundtrack.
SPAIN 🇪🇸
TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, has revealed that the auditions for Operación Triunfo 2020 will begin this October. TVE has yet to confirm if the upcoming series of Operación Triunfo will be used to select the Spanish representative for Eurovision 2020.
EUROVISION CHOIR 2019 🇸🇪
Interkultur the partner organisation behind Eurovision Choir alongside the EBU, has announced the winners prize for this years contest in Gothenburg. The choir that wins the competition in less than two weeks time will receive a trip to the World Choir Games 2020 in Flanders, Belgium. The winners of the contest will also be presented with a trophy.
RUSSIA 🇷🇺
In an interview with Xenia Sobchak the band’s frontman Ilya Prusikin (aka Ilyich) mentioned that the band was ready for Eurovision and they even had sent their song to Eurovision maestro Philip Kirkorov, who is known for working with Russian Eurovision representatives. However, 2019 wasn’t LITTLE BIG’s year. In the end we witnessed the return of Sergey Lazarev, who took the honourable third place in Tel Aviv. You can listen to their song from 3:10 to 3:40.

The 2020 edition of the famous Sanremo Festival will take place between February 4th and 8th. Host and artistic director Claudio Baglioni has resigned and still no announcement on his replacement. Calro Conti, Andrea Bocelli and Lucio Presta are tipped for the job. The name of Paolo Bonolis seems unlikely to be true as he stated he would love to take over if the festival moves from Teatro Ariston which wil host the 2020 edition.
