The limit of three nations contradicts prior remarks made during a news conference held by France Televisions, which indicated that viewers may vote for up to five countries.
Due to the restricted number of participating nations, the number of countries for which people may vote was reduced from five to three for the 2020 tournament.
In 2020, twelve nations competed in the competition.
You could formerly vote for a minimum of three and a maximum of five nations.
All other voting rules remain unchanged, including two sessions of online voting. The first voting session begins on December 17 at 20:00 CET and ends on December 19 at 15:59 CET.
Voting will be re-opened for 15 minutes during the live performance. As is customary, the results of the online vote will be converted into points based on the total percentage of votes received by each nation.
