CYPRUS – Kalomira Sarantis, took part in Eurovision 2008 as representative of Greek, slaying in the national final as well as in Belgrade’s Eurovision edition, ranked 3rd in the Grand Final.
Since then she keeps the highest ranking for Greece in Eurovision as no other participant managed to surpass the remarkable 3rd place (although Koza Mostra – and we have a reason to mention them – keep the second recent highest ranking in 2013).
It was in 2018 when ERT negotiated an anniversary comeback for Kalomira in Eurovision. Although the artist wanted to say YES, the answer was a NO since the life in Boston and the family obligation were negative factors for a 6-month commitment to such a project.
Kalomira, speaking to our partners at songfestival.be confirmed that she was considered by ERT as an optional replacement for Stefania in Eurovision 2021 but ultimately we (those working in the world of Eurovision) which persons didn’t allow this to happen!
Now, Kalomira openly confirms that she is discussing Eurovision 2021 with Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, a rumour which was milled the past few days in all Eurovision fansites’ newsdesks.
But it’s not only Kalomira. OPEN TV’s morning show EFTICHEITE will present exclusively one more surprise name. It’s an artist which we all love him, consider him sexy and represented Greece in the past (and it’s not Loukas Yorkas). So stay tuned at OPEN TV today at 09:00 CET.
