UKRAINE – The Kalush Orchestra, runners-up at Vidbir 2022, accepted to represent Ukraine in the Eurovision 2022 contest. The official announcement was made already on OGAE Ukraine Instagram stories and we are awaiting the official press release in our newsdesk.
Speaking to the press, Oleh Psyuk, the band’s vocalist, admitted that the band is the country’s representative in Turin:
“I can say that my good performance does not depend on the Ukrainian broadcaster and I am glad that Eurovision is not organized by it. . So I will represent Ukraine and not UA:PBC. Soon you will have the final answer. When we sign the contract, we can announce it”, criticizing the Ukrainian broadcaster, against which he has filed a lawsuit in court due to the results of the national final.

THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
It seems that the official announcement is delayed due to the rising tension the last few hours with Russia especially following the announcement of an upcoming address to the nation by USA President Baiden.
