NORWAY – After a successful tour in 2019, KEiiNO confirmed a return to Australia. KEiiNO have released a rendition of Kylie Minogue’s 2000 song โOn A Night Like This’ to mark their second tour and Eurovision โ Australia Decides 2022 invitation.
Kylie Minogue, the Princess of Pop, is a global household name. So it seemed only natural that KEiiNO would pay homage to Australia’s most renowned export. Fan notes on their Spotify canvas share how they wish to regain their night after the outbreak.
For her seventh studio album, โLight Years’, Kylie renewed her career with Parlophone Records in 2000. But this song wasn’t meant for Kylie. It was first presented to Swedish singer Pandora, whose rendition became the song we know today. Anna Vissi, the Greek and Cypriot Eurovision icon, secured the recording rights for her album โEverything I Am’. Anna’s version is arranged differently. Kylie’s rendition would go on to sell 170,000 copies and hit #2 in the UK charts.
The KEiiNO cover pays homage to the original while adding KEiiNO embellishments. In order to sound like Kylie, Alexandra Rotan changed her voice range. The traditional joik of Fred is mixed with EDM production.
And to top it all off, KEiiNO re-released OKTA to mark their three-year anniversary. OKTA guokte has compiled every KEiiNO song since we first heard โSpirit In The Sky.’
Last year, SBS, Australia’s national broadcaster, confirmed the return of Eurovision – Australia Decides 2022. KEiiNO, the televote winners of Eurovision 2019, will return to Australia, SBS confirmed. A duet with previous Australia Decides participants Electric Fields was included on the trio’s first OKTA album in 2019. As well as their first Australian tour, which was a huge hit with Australian fans.
This weekend’s national final will include a guest performance at the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre. In March, KEiiNO embarked on a new multi-state Australian tour. All thanks to the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Music. Alexandra Rotan will be on the jury to determine Australia’s 2022 representative.

โWe canโt wait to perform during Eurovision โ Australia Decides, as the first stop of our Australian tour! To be guest-starring in this impressive line-up of artists is a true honour, and we promise to put on a show that will bring back memories of 2019 and turn them into an epic moment of 2022. The Australian audience is amazing, so thereโs no other place in the world weโd rather be than on Gold Coast the last weekend of February! We were in Australia in 2019 & that was an amazing experience, but it was too short. We didnโt get to experience as much as we wanted to, so this time around weโre performing at Eurovision: Australia Decides, weโre touring the country & weโre also taking some time to be a part of the community there.โ
