YLE announced some interesting details regarding the final of UMK 2013 through which the country selected Krista Siegfrids to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “Marry Me”.
The 27 year old winner of UMK has received already more than positive comments on the web but actually it was a landslide victory as Frida got 19,3% of the public voting while the other favourite Mikael Saari came 2nd with just 9,2% of the public voting. Jury and televoting though were in tie regarding these two acts as they got both 7,3% of the jury voting.
In the meantime YLE announced good viewing rates for the national final despite the poor TV rates of the heats and the semifinal/second chance. The UMK 2013 final gathered 599,000 viewers been the 22nd most watched show this week in Finland. 1,36 million viewers was the peak of the ratings that night.
