SYNDEY, AUSTRALIA – Superstar Kylie Minogue has extended her support to fellow Aussie Guy Sebastian, who will represent the country on its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest this May. In a tweet, Kylie said, “Way to go Guy Sebastian!!!! Backing you ALL THE WAY”.
Sister, Dannii, retweeted Kylie’s message. Guy and Dannii served as judges on the reality show X Factor in Australia. Australian media have been critical of broadcaster SBS’ decision to send Guy to Vienna, with popular radio station Triple J listing artists that would be more suitable for the contest. However, the music industry has responded with overwhelming support for the singer.
Guy Sebastian rose to fame when he won the first season of Australian Idol back in 2003 and went on to become one of the country’s most famous singers.

Thanks Luke. The hardest critics are the Australian music industry and Guy’s peers who are all backing him. Guy will do a wonderful job for Australia and he is very happy to represent his country even if the cards are stacked against him winning.
