UKRAINE – It’s hard to believe what teh Ukrainian media are reporting as not a single rumour was spread back in Kyiv about the following information. Ukrainian media report that that Lady GaGa was suppose to perform in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final on May 13th.
Jamala’s manager, Igor Tarnopolsky claims that Lady GaGa was indeed selected to be the interval act of the final and demanded no fee for it (yeah right!). All they needed, according to the local press information, was 100-200,000 USD in order to make her performance implemented on stage (what exactly does that mean is a riddle).
But the national broadcaster couldn’t find the money to make it happen (yeah right, you have Lady GaGa for free and you cannot find 200,000 USD to make it happen… seriously?). In the end, poor Ruslana took the stage by storm once again in a patriotic way followed by Jamala and the amazing ONUKA.
This seriously reminds me the “Madonna rumour” for the 2006 Athens Eurovision Song Contest edition.
