UKRAINE – While she never mentioned Eurovision involvement in the past and we all knew she would refuse Eurovision participation if she won last year’s Sanremo Festival, suddenly Lara Fabian remembers Eurovision Song Contest and she offers herself to come to the 2017 event!
Speaking to Ukrainian media Ms Fabian said that she liked the performance of Jamala and she would love to have a duet with her in the Grand Final on May 13 if she is invited by the organisers. She liked the song “1944” as the song described a historic family event of the singer.
She also stated that she would love Odessa hosting the event saying that the city is unique and Kyiv already hosted the event. This statement is not a surprise though as she will have a concert in Odessa on October 18th followed by two concerts in Kyiv on December 2nd and 3rd.
Speaking about 1988 Eurovision Song Contest she said that it was an amazing experience for her as she was just 18 years old which was a triumph for her because she was recognised by the audience and the professionals across the world.
