IRELAND – Irelandโs Eurovision star Lesley Roy has come back fighting in her inspiring new single โIโll Be Fineโ. The Balbriggan singer sadly failed to progress to the finals of this yearโs competition but that defeat has failed to dampen her spirit. Lesleyโs upbeat track focuses on triumph over adversity as Lesley resolves to โdance it off my mindโ and โsee the sunshine in the rainโ.
The lyric video released on Friday night shows a number of photos of Lesley spanning from her childhood to the present day, symbolizing that throughout life we will always be overcoming some struggle or other. The fabulous new song comes out as Lesley has announced a new gig in Dublinโs The Grand Social on October 13.
Tickets are going at โฌ17.35 each and can be bought here.
Ireland crashed out of this yearโs Eurovision in the semi-final despite Lesleyโs powerful performance of her song โMapsโ.
In the days following her exit, the singer showed off her sunshine disposition and take-it-on-the-chin attitude as she thanked the public for their support. Proving she can take a joke, she followed up her heartfelt post with a good-humored tweet about her key props during her live performance.
โTwo treadmills for sale โฆ will take best offer!โ she joked on Twitter.
Editor’s note: We heard the song during our ride back from our 27/6 and we couldn’t immediately dance to it inside the car while it was clear for me and Alex that this should have been in Eurovision or at least submitted to ASC. But Eurovision is not the end of life and this song is definitely a Kickstarter for a new round of success for the Irish gem.
