KYIV, UKRAINE – The National selection for the JESC-2014 is in full swing. NTU has already selected 20 hopefuls for participation in the final and is working under the preparation for the National Final which is traditionally held outside Kyiv.
This year the venue was chosen in the the National Carpathian Park, which is 920 meters above sea level, at the foot of Bukovel Mountain, which is a famous ski resort of Ukraine. So, an International children’s centre “Artek-Carpaty” is officially announced as a venue of the Ukrainian National Final for JESC-2014.
All the finalists are supposed to stay in Bukovel for 2 weeks to be able to prepare for the National final properly. All the young artists will work hard with the choreographers, stage directors, vocal coaches and dancers during their stay in the children’s centre “Artek-Carpaty” to polish their stage performances. Each of them will try to make it as good as possible in order to impress the audience in the concert hall as well as viewers in front of TV screens across Ukraine. The winner will be chosen as a result of mixed voting (50%-viewers, 50%-jury).
The show of the Ukrainian National Final is scheduled for Saturday, 9 August and will be broadcast live on the First National Channel. And now you have a chance to listen to the songs of the Ukrainian finalists:

Trio: Sofiia Kutsenko, Amaliia Krymska, Marta Rak Since the 20th finalist was chosen as a winner of the TV project “Music Academy Eurovision”, their song for the national final is being prepared at the moment.
Ukraine has participated in JESC since 2006. The winner of the JESC-2012 in Amsterdam has become 10-year old Anastasiya Petryk, who brought victory to the country for the first time. JESC-2013 was held in Kyiv. Ukraine. The country was represented by Sofia Tarasova who won the second JESC prize. The winner of JESC-2013 became Gaia Cauchi from Malta. JESC-2014 will be held in Malts on 15 November.
