GREECE – Every year for the past five years, the name of Tamta features in the headlines of fan sites as the 2019 Greek representative. This year the rumour got more intense as the information about her duet with Mikolas Josef at MAD VMA 2018 leaked. Immediately and without any hesitation, fan sites decided that Tamta is about to represent Greece in 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Tamta cleared things up: There is no Eurovision 2019 plans but if something good is proposed to her she would be honoured. Unfortunately, fan sites became victims of their unawareness as Tamta has made a legendary duet appearance back in 2006 MAD VMA with Mihai Traistariu singing the Greek version of Tornero, a song still popular in the country.
In the meantime and after his exciting arrival at the Athens International airport where dozens of fans surprised him, Mikolas Josef began his visit to Greece. The. 22 year old uprising artist performed his Eurovision entry first at Star Channel morning show and then started rehearsals at the Athens Tae Kwon Do arena for the 2018 MAD VMA alongside Tamta. During our video interview filming it was clear that it was Tamta’s idea to suggest the duet both to Mikolas and MAD TV. Mikolas was not only happy to accept the invitation but we could see that there is a great artistic chemistry between the two artists.
Here is a fist glimpse of Tamta and Mikolas at their hotel during our video interview filming. Later on we attended their rehearsal. We have to tell you two things: first, everyone at Tae Kwon Do stopped whatever they did to watch the rehearsal and second, Mikolas is going to do on stage something extraordinary for him, especially after his back accident in Lisbon..
