SPAIN
The official music video for “SloMo,” Spain’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, performed by Chanel, was published this morning by Spanish broadcaster RTVE (starts at 5′:50′′ in the video). Pawla Casanovas directed the music video. This presentation card for the artist and Spanish song in Europe emphasizes not only a powerful choreography but also aspects such as lighting, water, and a party.
Chanel changes outfits four times in this video clip and is accompanied by her supporting dancers, Exon Arcos, Josh Huerta, Pol Soto, Raquel Caurn, and Ra Pérez, with choreography done by the acclaimed Kyle Hanagami. The major objective of the video clip, according to Casanovas, is to display Chanel’s talents as a dancer, as a powerful and extremely empowered lady.
MALTA
A few weeks ago, Emma Muscat won the right to represent Malta at Eurovision in May, when she stood at the top of the podium in the “Malta Eurovision Song Contest”. But she will not sing “Out Of Sight” as she won with, it will instead be the song “I Am What I Am”, which the 22-year-old singer performs in Turin.
The song is interesting with a Danish angle, as it is written by Danish Julie Aagaard (Kill J) and Stine Kinck (DMGP 2011) together with Swedish Dino Medanhodzic (including 6 contributions in this year’s Mello final) and Emma Muscat herself. It is also interesting that the song is produced by Danish Holger Lagerfeldt, and among the backing singers, you will find Swedish Dotter, who curiously is in love with Dino Medanhodzic.
ISRAEL
The official video clip of the Israeli participation in Eurovision 2022 has been released, with Michael Ben David as the singer, from the official Eurovision channel. Despite the singer’s initial thoughts of leaving the competition because he was unhappy with the team that supported him, the golden section was finally found and now Michael Ben David is ready to travel to Turin. I.M has been renewed after the singer’s victory in X-Factor Israel. The creators of the song explained in a post on social media last month, that the changes mainly concern the sound and the production of the song, while the lyrics and the melody remain the same.
CZECH REPUBLIC
The final version of the song “Lights Off” with which We Are Domi will represent the Czech Republic in Turin was recently released on Spotify and other streaming platforms. In addition, the Czech state channel Ceska Televize announced that the official music video of the song will be released on Friday, March 18. His shooting took place last week in Prague.
