SPAIN – Manel Navarro was one of the most controversial participants in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. This happened not because we disliked Manel Navarro but because of the way he won the national selection, openly breaching the rules and making fans angry with his gesture during his winner announcement. But it seems that Manel Navarro feels he received a lot of … bullying from the fans during his Eurovision venture.
Well this is not entirely true. Yes they were some nasty comments during his Eurovision venture but speaking from our side as oikotimes.com, although we have been very very critical on his national selection win and his Eurovision participation and performance we never treated Manel in a way that could hurt him. Great example was the great time we had with him in Israel during the amazing Israel Calling party.
It was no secret that members of oikotimes.com team considered Manel Navarro a hot participant in this national selection process but they turned angry with the way he was selected.
Manel stated the following: “This is my overcoming and anti bullying message. I hope you help me share this with the world so that we can all love in the same way. I think we’ve all been through this, but we do get up and the best ones are the ones that have enough strenght to do so”
Well he is over reacting in my opinion but still a new song is always welcomed no matter the message. Keep on Falling is composed by him and could be a good positive message for those who indeed are victims of bullying.
