ITALY – Mรฅneskin’s triumph as Eurovision 2021 winners continue, with the band garnering two nominations for MTV’s Video Music Awards in 2022.
For ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave,’ the Italian trio received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Video.
The band previously won Best Rock Group at the MTV Europe Music Awards and Top Rock Song at the Billboard Music Awards for ‘Beggin.’ They’ve also received nominations for Brit and NME awards.
The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Sunday, August 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. With seven nominations apiece, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow tie for the most.

Mรฅneskin’s “Supermodel” tops Billboard’s July 30-dated Alternative Airplay list.
“Supermodel” is Mรฅneskin’s first Alternative Airplay #1. Its “Beggin'” was originally by the Four Seasons. “Mammamia” reached No. 27 between “Beggin'” and “Supermodel”
The song is also in the Top 40 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay and Adult Alternative Airplay charts. “Supermodel” ranks Nos. 16, 18 and 23 on the Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts, based on 2.1 million official U.S. streams and 500 downloads sold July 15-21.
Mรฅneskin โ vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio โ will play Lollapalooza on July 31 in Chicago before launching its 60-plus-date Loud Kids Tour on Halloween night in Seattle and running through Dec. 16 in Las Vegas, followed by European gigs in February and March. The band was nominated for best new artist and best alternative for “I Wanna Be Your Slave”
Along with the new Alternative Airplay No. 1, the band is launching a live performance video of “Supermodel” through Billboard.
