UNITED KINGDOM: UK representative Lucie Jones might have the support of most of the media in her country regarding her chances in Kyiv’s Eurovision Song Contest but the 2015 Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw doesn’t think so, despite a Danish composer and former Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest is behind it.
He would give 8 points to the song he said in a diplomatic way and according to Metro UK Måns Zelmerlöw’s girlfriend is Lucie’s best friend. He likes the song and the singer but he doesn’t think such a ballad can stand out in Eurovision unless a spectacular stage presentation comes along.
There are too many performances and you need to get noticed, he continues. Although he confused the UK ranking last year saying it came 18th (but it came 24th) Måns says the UK entry is better than the one in 2016.
The outcome of the UK in Eurovision 2017 will have nothing to do with the political developments after the Brexit for which Måns thinks that he never thought the Brits would go through with it as he considers it stupid.
