Natália Kelly is the first Eurovision 2013 artist opening the rehearsals today representing Austria with the song “Shine”. The first technical rehearsal took place today (with closed doors for the press and media representatives).
WHAT WE LIKED
Natália has a safe and typical Eurovision stage presentation. She is solo performing with her five backing vocals supporting her excellently! Vocally she is not bad at all and although she wears jeans and a white top she looks shiny! Pink and a bit of green used as colors for her performance.
WHAT WE DISLIKED
We dislike the fact this is a nice song but is performed too early. The viewers might easily forget it although Natália’s vocals are more than impressive. Maybe too simple and maybe too common ballad for the Eurovision audience. So far we can see it in the final although performing first is always nervous and doesn’t help actually.
INFORMATION ABOUT AUSTRIA
Shine might be Natália Kelly’s debut single, but it would nonetheless be hard to describe her as a newcomer: The 18-year-old from Lower Austria, who has US American and Brazilian roots, has been adding to her stage experience for the past ten years, thanks to a wide range of performances, and by participating in numerous music competitions.
