BELGIUM
Belgium is represented this year by Roberto Bellarosa and the dance song “Love Kills” composers of which penned the Eurovision 2011 winner entry. Can Roberto make it to the final this year?
WHAT WE LIKED
Belgium takes over the stage in a bit of change of planning and presents his song. Two girls accompany Roberto on stage and projections of words are depicted on stage. It looks interesting but the vocal performance is not steady as most of us noticed here.
WHAT WE DISLIKED
Although a good dance act for the first semifinal, the vocal performance is weak and we knew that from the first presentation of the song. It’s highly unlikely for Belgium to proceed to the final under this vocal performance.
INFORMATION ABOUT BELGIUM
Roberto Bellarosa is originally from Wanze, Walloon part of Belgium and his childhood was ruled by the number of football goals scored by the men in his family. At age 9, realising that Roberto would never become a sporting hero, his parents enrolled him at the Music Academy of Huy to study the rudiments of music theory.
