IRELAND
Eurovision Queen, Ireland, is represented this year with Ryan Dolan and his song “Only Love Survives”. The Irish entry is performed on stage and let’s have a look how the first rehearsal of Ryan went.
WHAT WE LIKED
Half naked men with tatoos and drums accompany Ryan on stage along with two female backing vocalists. Too sexy presentation but not inspiring. Traditinal and abstract shapes are depicted behind the singer and it seems that the stage is quite dark for such a lovely and powerful song.
WHAT WE DISLIKED
The problem with this song is not the performance but the fact that wehn it ends you only remember the visual presentation and not the song. Would that be enough for Ireland to qualify in the final? Unfortunately not.
