The new Eurovision boss, Martin Österdahl doesn’t exclude the idea of new rules and formats for the Eurovision Song Contest.
- EBU is open to the idea of multiple host cities, pending the ideas of the broadcaster.
- The arena size is not the top priority but the overall idea and concept.
- There are open thoughts for increasing the limit of persons on stage.
- EBU consider the option for the spokespersons to give 8,10 and 12, instead of just the 12 points.

In the meantime, the press rehearsal goes smoothly with the first semi-final participants and the direct finalists looking fresh, but it’s too early for last night’s performers who are looking exhausting. This is why we will not review this one and we will give our complete monitoring in the evening jury rehearsal.

RAI re-affirmed their wish to win the contest. Claudio Fasulo the Deputy Director of Rai explained that in 2017 there were discussions on Turin hosting the event.
“We hope to win because we would very much like to host the biggest musical event in the world within our borders. In 2017, before leaving for Kyiv, we talked about the possibility of hosting in Turin because it had all the necessary characteristics to host […] That Rai does not want to win is an urban legend”

BETTING ODDS 💶 UPDATE
Besides Italy and France, still topping the odds for the trophy, dramatic changes are happening today. Malta, Switzerland and Ukraine are filling the rest of the top five spots.
The interesting news is that Finland and Portugal are in the top ten while Cyprus and Greece, two so highlighted and promoted entries are plundered below the tenth spot.
