One week before the grand final and Sweden is giving a second chance to the eight lucky ones tonight. Once again SVT asked the opinion of three eurovision fan site experts amongst them oikotimes.com. Below you can read the full story in Swedish while we present you the full review of our chief editor, Fotis Konstantopoulos for this week.
The second chance could have been more interesting if Eddie, Army of Lovers, Terese, Felicia would be in. I really tried to understand the way the Swedish viewers decided this year the qualifiers. From a final glance of the songs Behrang Miri, Anton Ewald and Martin Rolinski seems to be the best amongst the specific line up for me
Personally I don’t think that besides Behrang Miri, Anton Ewald and Martin Rolinski the rest of the participants deserved a second chance. There were objectively far more better songs to qualify in the last chance of Melodifestivalen 2013.
I honestly have no clue on who will proceed. But in my hummble opinion Martin and Anton should qualify. I think lots of eurofans would agree with me that Felicia and Terese deserved a second chance. I would add Eddie and Army of Lovers as well. The Swedish schlager is somehow missing this year in the final but I am still surprised how people voted this year!
I would never tip a nation on how to decide on Eurovision of course. What I can answer in this question is that I am affraid that the public choice show to me that Sweden might not be that eager to win Eurovision again although I strongly believe that Sweden should be the Queen of Eurovision with massive victories throughout the years. Maybe though I became too old and need to refresh my music hearing :-). Nevertheless I LOVE this country for many reasons and I hope for the best tonight and also in the final
