Tonight we experience the ultimate Eurovision 2013 national final selection show in Europe. Find out with us the host country’s representative this year. The show begins with the young hosts miming Danny and Gina and a song about Malmoe accompanied by the original hosts and of course the 2000 Eurovision hosts and many Eurovision participants from the past. Truly amazing.
1. Ulrik Munther – Tell The World I’m Here
Amazing performance, improved on many things this from the semifinal. The final lighting play is just amazing. Ulrik gives everything on stage. The song is very powerful, and it’s composed by Thomas G:son, Peter Bostrom and Ulrik, himself.
2. David Lindgren – Skyline
It seems that David has improved as well. The song is not anything we haven’t ever seen before, but both the coreography and lyrics invite the audience to stand up.
3. State Of Drama -Falling
A nice pop/rock number. I’m afraid of this tonight, because it could be forgotten through the show is advancing. I can’t see any chances for them. Anyway, it’s a very nice song.
4. Anton Ewald – Begging
Anton’s performance is again anything new, but as well as David, the song invites to sing and dance. He looks very nice and both backing dancers and him are doing a great dance number. Will see what happens this ,later…
5. Louise Hoffsten – Only The Dead Fish Follow the Stream
The only girl tonight has performed the song very nice. Good vocals, but as far as i’m concerned, no chances to represent Sweden. Anyway, i love it.
6. Bed on Fire โ Ralf Gyllenhammar
The piano on fire and the many fireworks on stage give attention to the song but the performance is nothing familiar to Eurofans. The song is the least liked one of ours tonight. The vocal performance is strong but there is nothing interesting in the tune or the progression of the song.
7. En riktig jรคvla schlager โ Ravaillacz
Old guys gathering on stage to perform. I really find no reason other than to entertain the older aged viewers of SVT. Europe will definitely be uninterested on this act.
8. Copacabanana โ Sean Banan
I personally expected more from Sean Banan. Too much fuzz for nothing although there is too much fun and originality. It could be the attraction of Eurovision 2013 if he makes it but I hardly doubt he can make it. I have to admit though that the song is clever and original for Eurovision. The show though on stage is amazing. In previous years many countries asked their performers to air on stage so if Sean makes it tonight we have to see if there will be a change in that rule too!
9. You โ Robin Stjernberg
Robin is giving his performance tonight. I don’t think the performance and the extensive smile are convincing and vocally he is not good at all. Not to mention the stage presentation and choreography which seems meaningless. A bit fuzz for nothing here.
10. Heartbreak Hotel โ YOHIO
Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires better known by his stage name YOHIO. Yes this singer is male! we searched it well! The act is favourite to win tonight. Performance was not good for me but it seems the audience will love it. Nothing interesting on this act.
The main part is over now and we have the first recap of the songs. Sarah Dawn Finer gives for 2nd year another amazing funny video mocking the host city and causing lots of laughs in the arena. Sarah we love you! (video will be uploaded soon so check out later). Euphoria is now performed by Loreen on stage as the performance begins with a kid performing and a children’s choir opening the road to Loreen on stage. The audience stands still to applaud Loreen, the winner for Sweden in Eurovision 2012.
Gina Derawi moves to the Green room where she uses a fresh air spray to absorb the – too much testosterone as 9 acts are male tonight and only 1 woman performed (not YOHIO we talk about Louise). Talking to Robin (in Swedish) the audience give a big applause to the artist. The international jury voting began and it is clear that European juries are confused: Robin Stjernberg wins jury voting
ROBIN WINS MELODIFESTIVALEN (although second in televoting) CONGRATULATIONS
