WARSAW POLAND – A former participant of the Polish version of “X factor”, Michał Szpak, has confirmed his intention to represent his country at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, http://www.interia.pl reports.
Michał, who was the winner at this year’s SuperPremiery song contest at the Opole Festival, outperforming many famous and more established Polish singers, says he already has a song ready for Sweden.
“I would like to take part in Eurovision, to face the European artists and present the entry which I believe will leave big emotional mark on everyone”, the 24-year old said.
Michał was favourite to represent the country at this year’s contest, but ultimately, broadcaster TVP sent Monika Kuszynska, whp came 23rd in the final (15th in televoting).

Michal Szpak was the runner up of the 2011 X Factor reality show. However, he has since gone on to develop a career, singing mostly pop and electronic music. He released his debut and only album “XI” in 2011.
