Popular French singer Michรจle Torr, who entered twice the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Luxembourg in 1966 and Monaco in 1977, is back with a new album entitled “Chanter c’est prier” (Singing is praying).
A new project she is particularly proud of, made of one new song and covers of famous spiritual and love songs initially performed by Charles Aznavour, Cรฉline Dion and many other famous French singers and songwriters such as Didier Barbelivien who wrote the Eurovision entries of Monaco in 1978 and 1979, and France in 1978 and 1995.
Out of the many singers who shot to fame back in the 60’s, Michรจle Torr today is by far one of the busiest and most popular, having sold around 35 millions CDs and touring extensively France and neighbouring countries every year. The new album is about spirituality, religious faith and love, and one of the first song she presented on TV is a cover of the main theme of famous French musical “Les 10 commandements” entitled “L’envie d’aimer”.
