CHISINAU, MOLDOVA – Today TRM, Moldovan National Broadcaster announced that over 40 submissions were made for the National Finals of the 2016 ESC.
We must be honest that the number of submissions must be a huge disappointment to Moldovan broadcaster as they were planning auditions in order to select the best 24 acts to enter into the two semifinals on 23 and 25th february which would lead to the National Final on 27th February.
Most likely the broadcaster will stick to the first auditions on 10th December with a likely 2nd audition on 19th December in order to determine the final 24 acts. It is thus with the most safety to see what Moldovan Broadcaster will decide in the coming days.
However the biggest surprise here for Moldovan selection comes from…. Belarus!!!! 2012 Belarussian entry Litesound have submitted a song for Eurovision in Moldova! Ok this might weird but it will be a collaboration with Moldovan singer Katherine so they will be allowed to take part. Will we see Litesound to take revenge for not qualifying in 2012.
Keep on tuning on oikotimes.com for the upcoming news but we wish everybody all the best of luck, especially our brothers from Litesound who made earlier this year a great cover version of the 2015 Russian entry ‘A million voices’
Litesound honoured their presence at the 2012 oikotimes 11 years online party which was held at that time in Brussels.
