LITHUANIA – Monika Liubinaitė was born in Klaipėda, in the fishing port district, into the family of a kanklina, a music teacher and a musician. Shee studied at Klaipėda Ąžuolynas Gymnasium, attending ballet lessons when she was little. As a student, Monica moved to Boston and later moved to London. She currently lives in Vilnius.

2020 April 20 the artist released her second album and her first vinyl record, Melody. The format of the vinyl record perfectly gives a somewhat sentimental, reminiscent of a Lithuanian retro stage, but at the same time very fresh musical sound.

The record was recorded in the UK in collaboration with music professionals: producer Miles James, sound director Christoph Skirl and musician Marius Aleksa, with the help of ancient synthesizers and unique techniques, all instruments were recorded live.

2021 December 7 It was announced that the performer would take part in the Lithuanian national selection for Eurovision “Let’s try again! 2022 with the song “Sentiments”.

The song was publicly released in 2022. January 18 immediately became the most listened to song in Lithuania, based on the data of international music listening platforms.

Monika appeared for the first time in the third qualifying show, with the most votes from both the commission and the audience – she won her qualifying show a big gap from the other participants and made it to the 5th of February, a semi-final in which she repeated an identical result and made it to the finals.
