GREECE – Nana Mouskouri, 87, (Luxembourg 1963) detailed her COVID-19 struggle with admirers on her Facebook page.
She mentioned in a Greek-language post that she was infected with COVID-19 in September and felt the need to thank her physicians and nurses for their dedication to her in the fight against coronavirus.
She said that despite being completely vaccinated, she was unable to escape hospitalization. As a consequence, she was treated for four weeks at Hรดpitaux Universitaires de Genรจve (HUG), where the 87-year-old actress said she got the greatest care available.
She expressed gratitude for her recovery and said that the situation might have been a lot worse.
“We should be vaccinated to protect ourselves against COVID,” she urged, urging people to “trust science and physicians.”
“A special thanks especially to the dedicated researchers who developed the vaccine in such a short period of time,” she said.
