HUNGARY – Hungary will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The local Media Services and Support Trust Fund (MTVA) and the Hungarian broadcaster Duna Media Service Provider will organise the national final A Dal 2019 in order to select the Hungarian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. A Dal 2019 will be the eighth edition of the Hungarian national selection A Dal, which will select Hungary’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The competition will consist of 30 entries competing in three heats, two semi-finals, and a final. The hosts are Bogi Dallos and Freddie. At the first press conference on 3rd December, 2018, MTVA announced the hosts, the jury, the 30 competing songs, and introduced the new logo of the show. The former symbol was in use since the inauguration of the contest, and every year they added the current year in the logo. The new one looks like a play button, or a plectrum, written in the inside A DAL 2019.

LITHUANIA – Lithuania will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The Lithuanian broadcaster LRT televizija (LRT) will organise the national final „Eurovizijos“ dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka 2019 in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

LATVIA – Latvia will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The Latvian broadcaster Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) will organize the national final Supernova 2019 in order to select the Latvian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Supernova 2019 will be the fifth edition of Supernova, the music competition that selects Latvia’s entries for the Eurovision Song Contest. The format of the competition will consist of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. The two semi-finals will feature eight competing entries each, from which four will be selected to advance to the final from each show. Results during the semi-final and final shows will be determined by a jury panel and votes from the public.

GEORGIA – Georgia will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The Georgian Public Broadcaster announced that they will choose their entrant and entry through the means of the reality TV show Georgian Idol. Georgian Idol will be used to select the entry for 2019 on the 2nd of March. The entries competing are yet to be revealed.

ISRAEL – Israel participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Israeli broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC) collaborated with the commercial broadcaster Keshet and Tedy Productions, which organised the reality singing competition HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion (“The Next Star For Eurovision”) to select the participant. The singer who will perform the Israeli entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be selected through the reality singing competition HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion (“The Next Star for Eurovision”), the original version of the international format Rising Star produced by Tedy Productions and Keshet Media Group. HaKokhav HaBa has been used since 2015 to select the Israeli artist for Eurovision. The shows will be hosted by Assi Azar and Rotem Sela and will feature a judging panel composed of Asaf Amdursky, Keren Peles, Shiri Maimon (2005 Israeli Eurovision entrant), Harel Skaat (2010 Israeli Eurovision entrant) and Static & Ben-El Tavori. The competition commenced on 24 November 2018 and will conclude in January 2019. All shows in the competition will be broadcast on Channel 2 and Keshet 12 as well as online via mako.co.il. In addition, three programs will be broadcast on KAN to determine the song that will represent Israel in 2019. KAN will also hold an additional show to select one singer to go through to the final of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion.
