PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC – Jan Bors has been named as the new Head of Delegation for the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest. The 29-year-old has works at broadcaster Ceska Televize.
He said, “I would like to thank John Conniving, who gave me the offer to lead the Czech delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, which is an offer you cannot refuse. I regard it as one of the most prestigious things to do in the context of television projects and making it globally. It is much appreciated”.
He added, “When you say Eurovision, I imagine immediately a tremendous show, a lot of effort and a lot of fun. 2015 was, for the most part, marked by perfect vocal performances and great ideas, and I expect the same quality this year. Of course, each country worked hard to find “The” song, “That” singer, or a female singer and the whole thing wrapped up with a magnificent performance, because I enjoy the competition and with such a great tradition, it is constantly evolving forward”.
Jan Bors said that in 2015 the right singer with the right personality won, adding that last year’s model has proven successful and he plans to use it in 2016 as well. “Now I just hope that we choose the best song and go to Sweden with a chance to succeed”, Jan says.
