For technical reasons, we could not see the actual staging of this entry on Tuesday. So let’s discover what’s Italy has in store for us this year. “Cara Mamma” for cara Fiamma. After having tried something “new” (not to say cheap) last year, RAI is going back to classics, and I’m glad they are. Lovers of Italian music (like I am) will love this very classical and particularly emotional ballad. In addition to Fiamma’s great and mature interpretation, I particularly like the musical arrangements and the last part of the song with the key change. The staging is quite simple (are these the same graphics as Bulgaria?) but it’s a clever choice, because it’s all about music here! “Cara Mamma” is just like an international anthem dedicated to our mums. One of my absolute favourite this year! If Vincenzo did it in 2014, Fiamma can surely do it on Sunday. In bocca al lupo!
Fiamma is conducting her rehearsal just across where her mom is seating at the MCC auditorium. Words of mother in various languages are presented in the backdrop and somehow I wanna see her mom either on screen or on stage during the live performance on Sunday. I would like to dedicate this song to my mom and embrace her as many times more I can.
