FINLAND – Eva and Manu, the duo that sparkled rumours about Eurovision 2019 explained through the social media that they are not chosen by YLE: “All right, all right. On Sunday, I got the information on my ear that the Iltalehti newspaper reported (or speculated, anyway) that we would be Finland’s next next representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. It has gone completely out of hand, and now the same topic is being reported across Europe and we’re constantly getting both positive and negative responses, both from the public and from the media. So this Iltalehti suspicion began with our post, which mentioned something new and exciting for next year’s Spring. Well, what I can say at this point is that our next year indeed looks absolutely great, mostly for the reason (what that post also was about) that our new release after long waiting will be out at the beginning of next year!”
SEBIA – 76 songs submitted in Serbia for their national selection. Today RTS opened th submissions since the deadline was 15/11 and awaited the last submissions through post office.
AUSTRIA – ORF’s head of entertainment Edgar Böhm confirmed there will be internal selection for Eurovision 2019. The decision will be made in December. It seems that the broadcaster is between a powerful ballad by a solo singer and a powerful po song by a duet.
CYPRUS – Cyprus national broadcaster seems too have decided the three songs for their internal selection. It is also hinted by ALPHA TV Cyprus that Tamta has been invited to listen to the songs.
GREECE – One more weird story came out. Despite confirming a meeting for Eurovision 2019 by Nikos Ganos himself, ERT fully denied the information!
GERMANY – Michael Schulte won a Bambi award last week. Now he continues his tour all over the country.
SPAIN – Carlos Jean has withdraw his song for OT Eurovision Gala – at least temporarily – as he received heavy criticism for it. The song idea as used three years ago and the lyrics made of contributions by people of various target groups, made no sense.
JESC 2018 – The complete running order of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest was approved by the European Broadcasting Union and is as follows:
06. The Netherlands
16. F.Y.R. Macedonia
