The countdown has begun for Sanremo Giovani with a new record to reward the artistic director Amadeus’ decision to bring the category Nuove Proposte to the renowned Sanremo festival. 842 stakeholders expressed their desire to participate in this category. 163 more proposals than last year were submitted to the music committee, with the increase reaching 24%. For 2020 things are a bit different, as this year they will have the opportunity and unknown to the general public to register through EMA FREŠ. The purpose of this new concept is to keep young artists from being overshadowed by what they already know, but also to give them the opportunity to be heard. EMA FREŠ is an online competition open to Slovenian artists under the age of 26 who have not released more than three songs before. Interested artists sent a one-minute video of their interpretation by September 19th. A jury of experts has decided on the 18 best entries, which will be made public on the RTV.SLO website on November 4. Almost 2 entries will be made public each day. Then for 5 weeks, the public will be able to vote for their favourites online. The competition will include many rounds, such as picking the winner of each day and then the winner of the week, until the big winner to compete at Core 2020!

TVP has announced that the postcards for the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gilwice, have been filmed. Filming has taken place across Silesia for the postcards that will be shown before each performance at Junior Eurovision 2019. A total of twenty videos have been filmed by the crew from TVP, this includes nineteen postcards and the video that will open the contest.

The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is set to be broadcast in thirty-seven cinemas across Spain. The list of cities in which the broadcast will be available in at least one Cinesa cinema are: A Coruña, Barcelona, Castellón de la Plana, Guipúzcoa, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Málaga, Marratxí – Mallorca, Murcia, Ovideo, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, Vizcaya, Zaragoza.
