“We are grateful to everyone who supported us during the final of the National Selection for Eurovision-2022 and gave us first place in the SMS voting. We promise every Ukrainian that we will justify your choice. In difficult times for our country, we must reaffirm ourselves to the world. That is why we are ready to present Ukraine with dignity to the whole of Europe, “said the band’s vocalist Oleh Psyuk.
It should be noted that on February 17 the Organizing Committee decided to apply to the Kalush Orchestra with a proposal to represent Ukraine in Turin, as the group took second place in the final and received the greatest support from the audience. In total, the band received 14 points, of which a maximum of 8 points from the audience and 6 points from the judges.
Public Broadcasting, which is a member of the European Language Union, organizes and selects a song and a representative from Ukraine, as well as ensures its participation in the international song contest Eurovision-2022 in Italy.
This year’s Eurovision will take place in the Italian city of Turin at the Pala Olimpico arena with the participation of 41 countries, first in the semifinals on May 10 and 12, and then in the grand final on May 14.
