TURIN, ITALY – With the ban of Russia from the Eurovision Song Contest we thought we will not see Kikrorov back in Turin. But the Russian music mogul flew from Monaco to Turin, praising wiwibloggs and as we see in his stories he already watched the first semifinal inside Pala Alpitour.
The man who openly supported the Crimea annexation and Trump’s election is said (according to the dedicated-to-dream-team website) to have arrived in Turin, to support the Greek Dream Team, something that sounds natural and aside from any political statement, since we all know how big Eurofan and dedicated Eurovision lover he is. He did represent his country in 1995.
Weirdly, the dedicated to the Greek team, posted a photo of Kirkorov with them, with the 1995 Eurovision entrant wearing a Putin T-shirt! which wasn’t the best choice to do so. Let’s hope he will not openly endorse Amanda by posting a photo with her, as for sure there will be strong reactions not only from the fans but for sure the government will be annoyed.
Let’s not forget that the Baltic countries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have already banned the Russian artist and openly a close friend of President Putin, from entering their countries.
Let’s not forget that the Greek Dream Team (having great collaboration with the national broadcaster and offering a wide Greek branding in the Russian market for the benefit of their homeland) had submitted a proposal for the 2022 Russian Eurovision representation, which was not accepted (thankfully) a few weeks before the Russian invasion in Ukraine.
The arrival of Kirkorov to Turin has not been unnoticed. Ukrainian entrants, Kalush Orchestra singer posted a photo in which he is clearly not thrilled about the news! The social media vow against the Russian star.
