ROMANIA – Ovi seems to be interested in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest according to Romanian sources. Ovi, aka Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu, participated in 2010 and 2014 Eurovision Song Contest editions, both time alongside Paula Seling reaching 3rd and 12th place respectively.
The Romanian-norwegian singer and author told the press that her is considering a Eurovision comeback attempt but with no other country than Romania (although he doesn’t exclude the option of Norway) and he doesn’t exclude potential collaboration again with Paula Seling.
After all Ovi became known to the #Eurovision world with his Melodi Grand Prix participation in 2006 “The Better Side of Me” but didn’t make it to the final. Though in the 2009 and 2012 editions of MGP he reached the final with the songs “Seven Seconds” and “High on Love”, respectively.
