PARIS, FRANCE – After Kenji Girac and Sh’ym, another French star expresses is “non interest” in representing France in Stockholm.
During an interview on national radio RFM, Patrick Bruel declared that his participation to a Eurovision Song Contest as a singer is very unlikely. He explained his point of view, saying that given the system and organization of the contest, a French victory is almost impossible and that a Top 5 finishing would simply be a miracle”.
Nevertheless, he could participate to the contest but as a writer only, just like he did some years ago. Indeed, in 2002, Bruel was the man behind Sandrine François’ entry “Il Faut Du Temps” (It Takes Time) that finished in a good 5th position on the scoreboard. (the best placing for France in years!).
