WARSAW, POLAND – Two popular Polish female signers have ruled out their participation at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest after local media tipped them as favorites to represent the country in Stockholm.
Singer Sylwia Grzeszczak has said she is pregnant and has cancelled planned appearances for the rest of the year. As a result, it is unlikely she will take part in Eurovision in 2016.
In addition, Margaret, who was Poland OGAE’s favourite last year, has said she believes there are more suitable singers to represent the country at a show such as Eurovision, adding she will always extend her support to any artist defending Polish colours.
Poland’s broadcaster TVP is yet to confirm its participation at next year’s Eurovision. Several high-profile singers such as Edyta Gorniak and Doda have been rumoured as potential representatives.
