POLAND – Polish broadcaster TVP has extended the deadline for the submission of entries for the country’s national selection until February 10. Initially, the deadline was set for January 20. As a result, the Krajowe Eliminacje 2017 national selection will be held on February 18.
“Polish Television is pleased to announce that due to great interest from artists who want to take part in the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, the deadline for applications is postponed to 10 February. Therefore, the National Selection concert will be held on February 18, 2017”, TVP said in a statement.
Rumours have suggested that a number of established Polish artists are interested in taking part in this year’s national selection. So far, confirmed submissions include “First Kiss” by androgynous male model Mateusz Maga and an undisclosed song from Gosia Andrzejewicz, a popular pop and dance singer.
