POLAND – Eurovision fans might recognise Rafaล Brzozowski as a co-presenter of the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw, Poland. His other TV work includes the popular music show The Name of the Tune and his time as co-host of the Polish version of Wheel of Fortune.
RAFAลโs music career started with his participation in The Voice (of Poland), releasing his debut single Tak blisko (โSo Closeโ) shortly after. Riding high in the Polish airplay and sales charts, the entertainer found further success with his albums Tak blisko and Mรณj czas (My Time).
Music aside, Brzozowskiโs two biggest passions are sports and aviation. Rafaล won a bronze medal for his wrestling in the Academic Championships of Poland and is currently working on upgrading his private pilot licence to an aerobatic licence.
Perhaps Rafaล could fly to Rotterdam and offer the nearby Czech, German and Danish participants the opportunity to join him on The Ride?
Rafal revealed how from JESC 2020 host turned up as Eurovision 2021 representative, especially in a moment when Alicja Szempliลska was tipped to again the country’s representative.
โIt was a really fast decisionโฆ like in half of the month of February, they just call me and tell me that I will be going to the Eurovision Song Contest this year. The TV station [TVP] make a regulation that they need to choose the song this year because in the previous year they canโt do that… They called a few artists, asked do we have songs… I sent my demo song โThe Rideโโฆ they asked if I could sing that at Eurovision. I said okay, and it happened so fast, it takes about three days to make a decision and it was a shock for me.โ
