LISBON, PORTUGAL – Festival da Canรงรฃo 2015 concluded last night with Leonor Andrade triumphing the show and therefore getting the ticket to Vienna with the song โHรก um mar que nos separaโ. He managed to qualify to the super final where three finalists bid for the ticket to Eurovision 2015. He is one more singer coming from the regional The Voice show. Simon de Oliveira didn’t make it to the super final, but somehow it was known that even if she won, she wouldn’t go to the contest.

INFORMATION ON LEONOR
Leonor Andrade originates from the freguesia of Quinta do Anjo, in the municipality of Palmela, Portugal. She began playing piano at the age of 4, and she started singing when her brother’s band needed a vocalist. She attended music schools for ten years. In 2014, Andrade participated in season two of The Voice Portugal. She was eliminated on episode 13. After The Voice, Andrade joined the cast of RTP1 telenovela รgua de Mar, where she played Joana Luz. On 19 February 2015, Andrade was announced as one of the twelve participants of Festival da Canรงรฃo 2015 with the song “Hรก um mar que nos separa”. On 7 March 2015, she won the competition and thus was selected to represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
