ITALY – It seems impossible to adapt “Brividi”, the participation of Mahmood and Blanco in Eurovision 2022, in its three-minute version. As the deadline for submitting entries for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest expires today, in an interview with Radio Italia, the two singers representing host Italy spoke of the difficulties they faced in meeting song.
“We tried everything to make it smaller. We tried to say the last part without a hat, .. We thought of cutting Blanco completely (jokingly) Michelangelo tries to do the impossible. It is difficult to cut (the song) without changing the type of song. Nothing, it’s three minutes. We have to cut 30 seconds and there is so much in the song ฮปฮฟฮนฯฯฮฝ So you will have a different version of the Festival, but we swear it will be beautiful anyway.”
As it is easily understood, a track like “Brividi” which was “built” for the San Remo Festival, should be modified accordingly in accordance with the Eurovision rules that stipulate a maximum duration of a song of three minutes.
In recent years, Italy has always made corresponding necessary changes in its holdings, sometimes larger and sometimes smaller. An exception is the participation of 2012 with Nina Zilli “L’amore e femmina”, which did not compete in the Sanremo Festival and was destined for Eurovision from the beginning.
RAI CONFIRMATION
Mahmood and Blanco were forced to cut BRIVIDI. This was announced by Eurovision executive producers Simona Martorelli, director of international relations for Rai, and Claudio Fasulo, deputy director of Rai1, at a press conference in the Piedmontese capital with the director of the Rai production centre in Turin, Guido Rossi, responsible for the organizational activities of the event which will take place outside the building.
UNSTOPPABLE
The song “Chills” by Mahmood and Blanco won the Sanremo 2022 Festival and since then the success has been unstoppable.
First of all, it should be remembered that Mahmood and Blanco won Sanremo on the night between Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 February 2022 but, in the week of the Festival, their song was already first in the official FIMI / Gfk ranking of the best-selling singles and since that moment it has never yielded the top: therefore, as confirmed by the latest figures from the Italian Music Industry Federation, the piece has been at number one for six consecutive weeks.
TRIPPLE PLATINUM STATUS
Mahmood and Blanco’s Platinum Record collection is growing. Shivers, the song with which they won the Sanremo Festival 2022 and with which they will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 (in a shorter version), received the Third Platinum from the Italian Music Industry Federation.
Instead, I love you I do not know how to say, of the 15th classified Noemi, is Gold, as well as Every time it is so of Emma, who finished sixth at the singing festival.
