According to recent television details, the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest was the most watched non-sports show of 2012. The final was seen by 6.542.000 viewers, representing a 43.5% share. At the key minute, the share was 49.3% or 8.087.000 viewers, this coincided with the voting. Viewing figures for Spanish television are led by football which occupies all 17 places on the ranking table, with the Eurovision Song Contest making up number 18 on the list.
When these figures are compared with previous editions of the Contest, only four editions had a higher viewing quota, these were, 2002,2003,2004 and 2008. Rosa and her “Europe’s living a celebration” is still the most viewed Eurovision to date and the song and singer still highly respected throughout the country. Full details can be seen below.
