VALLETTA, MALTA – Richard Edwards, the lead singer of Firelight, who represented Malta in Eurovision 2014, is giving fans a chance to own his precious Appalachian dulcimer, the unusual instrument which gave “Coming Home” its distinctive sound. He’s put it up for auction for charity.
Firelight have been busy since Eurovision, promoting their album “Backdrop of Life” (available for download and on Spotify). They’ve proved particularly popular in Germany and Austria, where they’ve performed in numerous concerts and on several TV shows. They also recently featured on the BBC in the UK, the country that gave Firelight their highest marks after Conchita Wurst from Austria.
All money raised from this auction will be going to a cancer charity in Malta, as Richard Edwards explains:
special thanks to Leslie Skipper for the contribution
