CRAIOVA, ROMANIA – The host city of the Romanian national Eurovision selection, Selecţia Naţională, will be Craiova in the country’s south, broadcaster TVR has confirmed.
The show will be held at Polyvalent Hall, which has the capacity to seat 4.000 people. TVR decided to host the event in what is Romania’s sixth largest city in order to boost its chances of becoming Europe’s capital of culture in 2021, which is being decided on this year.
Selectia Nationala will be held on March 8. TVR is currently in the process of receiving submissions until February 8. A total of 12 songs will then be selected by the jury, with their decision to be made public on February 12.
