MADRID, SPAIN – After a respectable Eurovision 2015 for Spain, although further down in the points than what was expected, the story now is who will take the reigns from Edurne and her song “Amanecer” (Sunrise).
It has emerged that Spanish 2002 Eurovision finalist, Rosa López, who formed part of the Spanish Jury in 2015 would like to create a supergroup of former Spanish Eurovision contestants. The group would look at creating a megahit that could involve Ruth Lorenzo (2014), Soraya (2009) and Pastora Soler (2012).
It could be that as both Rosa and Ruth formed part of he Spanish Jury in 2015, they may have discussed this possibility but how likely it happens, remains in doubt, especially since Pastora Soler officially retired from the stage this year and it remains to be seen how such strong vocal performers can perform together.
