UKRAINE – The image of the Ukrainian organisation of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is humiliated once again after Ruslana’s statement that she still hasn’t received her fee (13,000 Euros) for the performance in the interval act of the Grand Final a month ago. She claims she paid all the expenses for her performance (song production, video, costumes, training) and nothing returned as promised. Ruslana though wasn’t the most expensive artist hired by the organisers. According to local press Jamala received 33,000 Euros and ONUKA only 1,500 Euros.
Responding through Facebook, Ruslana asks the journalists and the media not to make a fuzz about her delayed payment as the problem is purely bureaucratic and not an issue of avoiding paying her.
