MOSCOW, RUSSIA – Earlier than expected Russian super star Sergey Lazarev presented his song “You are the only one” on his youtube channel. First reactions for the song are very positive since after three years of peace ballads Russia participates with the most uptempo track of this years contest.
“You are the only one” combines atmospheric surroundings in the verses with the characteristic style of production of Dimitris Kontopoulos in the chorus. A style that made the Greek composer famous not only in Greece but in several other European countries.
What remains to be seen is how the famous Greek stage director Fokas Evangelinos will present the song on the Eurovision stage in May. We all know that nothing is going to be revealed till then since this is always the case with Mr. Evangelinos.
The song is composed by Phillip Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos and the lyrics are written by John Ballard and Ralph Charlie.
