EDITORIAL – Since the dawn of the Russian invasion, we noticed that the Russian Eurovision stars immediately stopped their activity. If you tour their profiles you will see, for instance, Kirkorov showcasing how wealthy he is, Polina Gagarina advertising perfumes and more.
Not sure whether some of them agree or are silenced by the Putin regime (although we know who’s the best buddy of Kirkorov) but the truth is that all of them are SILENT not mentioning anything pro or against their proclaimed invader to Ukraine.
After all, we all know how social media income counts for them and they cannot lose clients, although the sanctions to Russia by the social media platforms will definitely hurt them long-term.
What counts is that in the very end, those Eurovision stars are over from the star system and Eurofandom of Europe and the Western world. Especially with their silence, they have absolutely no support and they will not sing in any western European country anytime soon this century!
There are two weird profiles we noticed. First of all, the one of Sergey Lazarev, the Instagram account of which simply disappeared. We don’t know if the profile was hacked or suspended. Maybe Sergey closed it due to hate comments but literally, no one knows.
The other case is that of Alex Vorobyov (Sparrow) who represented Russia in Eurovision 2011 and he is now living (trying. tobe an actor) in California. While he is still enjoying his NETFLIX success as the goofy Russian spy in a space spy comedy, Sparrow showcases his villa in Malibu and his well-trained body. But then again, Sparrow was never the sensitive guy for what’s happening in this world rather than getting offers for villas in California!
In the meantime Russian born, Ani Lorak and the creation of Kirkorov, is now living in Russia and the only thing she had to say for her homeland was the following post. But then again, we all remember that Lorak is persona non-gratta in Ukraine for years now.
On the other hand, the Kyrgystan Russian Eurovision entrant Manizha is living in her own bubble wishing for peace and love between the two nations. Dreaming never hurt anyone, but seriously some people must understand that they have to stop playing neutral idealists and take a stance and stop things!
With only one post the last week, 2020 chosen entrants but never reaching Eurovision due to the pandemic, LITTLE BIG share their message of NO WAR. We only hope this means that the post heads to the Kremlin as I don’t know anyone else who wished this war!
In an even more apathetic stance, the 2019 Russian entrant, Julia Samoylova posted a simple black picture. Well, dear Julia, you represented and you were chosen by this regime. What exactly are you saying with this picture and to whom?
Now, watching the Russian Eurostars reacting like that, you all understand why Ruslana, Jamala, GO_A and Kalush are “worshipped” as national heroes all over the web through their social media stance.
