It is not a secret that Russia is eager to win the Eurovision Song Contest again. In 2012 and especially in 2013 the Russian delegation did anything they could to bring back the trophy to Russia and St-Petersburg is more than ready to host the next Eurovision Song Contest edition.
It will be amazing if they make it next year after the new law issued by President Putin against the gay community. According to the new law it’s a crime to even look like a gay, talk like a gay, walking hand in hand with your gay pair. We all know that most of delegates, fans and media representatives following each year the contest are gay.
How will Russian hosts comply with such a massive gay guests? How will gay community react next year when it comes to voting for the Russian entry? Especially since they could face 2 weeks in prison just because of their sexual orientation?
